Makeshift Shakespeare

Makeshift Shakespeare pays homage to the Bard himself!  The absurdity of Shakespeare’s comedies, the misfortune of his tragedies, and the yesteryears of his histories are all performed in a nightly original production by these brainy improvisers.  Denver has never seen anything quite like it!  “All-male, all-Shakespeare, all the time,” says director Shannon Wood Rothenberg.  Theater-goers will find their intellects heartily entertained and their wit vigorously stimulated by the unlimited possibilities of improvisation coupled with the richness of William Shakespeare’s legacy.

Fine Arp! Presented By Knapp a Lot Pictures

“Fine Arp!” is a 20-minute farce about what happens when a young couple, who really just want to learn more about art, end up at a very different convention in Vegas, compliments of their baby boomer companions.

The young couple is played by Montana Knapp and Patrick Cross and performing as the baby boomers are Diana Andrade and Jaime Andrade.

“Fine Arp!” plays for one performance only on Saturday, November 1 at 6 p.m. at the Voodoo Comedy Playhouse, 1260 22nd St., Denver. Tickets are $4.99 and available at the door only + 1 penny for a beer or soda. The entire price of admission, for each ticket sold, will be donated to Cafe 180.

Knapp a Lot Pictures is proudly sponsored by Yankee Pedlar Realtors in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. This is their first Denver production. Knapp and Hutchinson also have a bakery, Sweet G’s Bakery. Treats from Sweet G’s will be available at the world premiere of “Fine Arp!”

CAFE 180, recognizing our universal appetite for delicious, nourishing food and social connectedness, is dedicated to eliminating hunger and social barriers associated with food by feeding all people regardless of their ability to pay, in a dignified and respectful manner. www.cafe180.org

At CAFE 180 the price is always right, because you choose it. Those who can pay for lunch sit alongside those who exchange an hour of service for their meal. Choose from any of the following payment options:
· Pay what you would typically pay.
· Pay by giving one hour of service in exchange for your meal.
· Pay what you would typically pay, plus a bit more to “pay it forward”

Producer Amy Knapp states, “We are not producing a fundraiser. We are producing a show and promoting Fine Arp! based on its merit as entertainment. We don’t usually publicize donations but since we are new to Denver we don’t mind acknowledging that if you see a Knapp a Lot production, chances are your money is also going to a good cause. We donate because it’s a good thing to do.”

After the show, stay for amazing Voodoo Comedy beginning at 7 p.m. www.voodoocomedy.com
